The Niagara County Coalition for Suicide Prevention was founded by members of the community who wanted to take action regarding the high rate of suicide. Members are currently developing strategies to impact youth and adults, assist professionals on the front-lines, and educate the public about suicide prevention.
Our members come from a variety of backgrounds, including education, government, non-profits, law enforcement and healthcare. We welcome professionals, parents, community organizers and "concerned citizens" alike.
The Niagara County Suicide Prevention Coalition is a collaborative coalition of community stakeholders that strives to develop and implement suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention strategies through public education, access to regional services, promoting awareness and providing support to residents of Niagara County.
The Niagara County Coalition for Suicide Prevention is supported by the Niagara County Department of Mental Health and the Mental Health Association in Niagara County, Inc.
